Abstract Light Streaks

Background, Qualifications, and Approach

Kerri, a doctoral candidate in Jungian and archetypal depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute, is an integrative Jungian-somatic therapist, educator, and artist whose individual and group sessions incorporate depth psychology, somatics, spirituality, ecology, animistic perspectives, and creative expression. She is currently working on her dissertation, chaired by Dr. Dylan Francisco, with expected completion in 2027. In addition to her PhD candidacy, Kerri is also a certified somatic practitioner and certified meditation facilitator.

From 2019-2022, she apprenticed with Dr. Ada Rios-Rivera, learning and practicing the fundamentals of Arnold Mindell's process oriented psychology--an expansion of Jung's work and multi-channeled awareness paradigm that aims to perceive, attune to, and support the unfolding processes of nature as they express themselves within individuals, relationships, groups, and communities.

Much of Kerri's knowledge of and experience with somatic practices originated out of five years of one-on-one training with multidisciplinary performing artist and movement educator Jessica Cadden Wentlent (AEA, SAG-AFTRA, E-RYT200). Somatic studies has also been a vital part of Kerri's post graduate coursework and remains one of her primary research areas of interest.

Additionally, Kerri is currently a student of the Mythic Body, a yearlong mythosomatic immersion and course study curated and facilitated by mythologist, somatic instructor, and storyteller Josh Schrei.

As an avid writer, researcher, and artist, Kerri's poem, "The Never-Ending Spiral", had the honor of being published by The Academy of American Poets; She received the T. Rose Cogswell Creative Fiction Award in 2019; And her article "America's Addiction Epidemic" was published by the open access academic journal Personality Type in Depth in 2025. The article situates Addiction within C. G. Jung’s typological framework, and explores it, both individually and culturally, as a response to a distorted relationship with the disenfranchised archetypal Mother.

For over a decade, Kerri has worked with individuals within the addiction and trauma recovery space in various roles such as mentor, group facilitator, educator, and counselor.

It is from this foundation that Kerri's intention of supporting individuals in leading a more soulful life emerges.

Grounded in depth psychology, her approach is oriented around the inseparable relationship between psyche, body, and world, and seeks to honor psychology in what Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés considers its truest sense: psukhē/psyche (soul); ology (logos)—a knowing of the soul.
